Hi everyone, I’m completely new to Home Assistant.
Here is the configuration used:
- Installationsmethode: Home Assistant OS
- Core: 2025.12.0
- Supervisor: 2025.12.2
- Operating System: 16.3
- Frontend: 20251203.0
To familiarize myself with Home Assistant, I wanted to add a new map to the dashboard. Besides the weather map for my hometown, I also wanted a map for my birthplace. I tried following these ( Wettervorhersagekarte – Home Assistant instructions, but I couldn’t get it to work
Perhaps I need to create a new entity. But how do I do that?
I searched the forum for “create new entity” but found nothing.
Thank you so much for all your help.
Thomas
Go to your Integrations page and find the weather integration you are using. Select it and you should be presented with a page that has a button on the upper right that says “Add entry” or “Add Service”, click it and fill in the location information.
Hello Didgeridrew, thank you very much for the message.
But somehow I don’t quite understand that.
Here are a few pictures illustrating how I understand it:
The weather integration is highlighted, right?
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you, Thomas
When I click on the 3 dots there, this appears:
There’s no “Add Service” or “Add Entry” option.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Thomas
That is just a weather dashboard card.
You need to go to the Integrations settings page (as linked previously)…
Here is a link to the documentation: Looking at Integration Details
Once you click on your weather integration, it should open a page that looks something like the following (but for whichever integration you are using):

Hi Didgeri Drew, thank you so much for your help.
I’ve got it working now. I still need to familiarize myself more with the terminology.
But this first success is encouraging.
Thanks and see you later, Thomas
