I’m trying to create a notification group in the UI. I had it working in configuration.yaml where all of my mobile devices were in one notification group. In the UI when creating a group it doesn’t populate my mobile devices to select for some reason. Is this a bug or am I doing it wrong?
You are misunderstanding what the notify group that can be created in the UI is.
It sounds like you’re saying the mobile companion integration hasn’t been modified to be entity based yet, which I believe you, but it seems crazy that it hasn’t been migrated yet considering it’s probably one of the most widely used integrations since I’m sure most people are using a mobile app. Anyway, I’ll keep using YAML and wait for everything to be migrated. Correct, the companion app’s notifier does not create a notify entity.
The companion app’s notifier is much more complex/feature-rich than those that have been converted so far. If it it ever happens, it will be a huge breaking change, so its implementation will need to be as flawless as possible to keep the community from rioting.
