Creating a user in order to configure MQTT broker and zigbee2mqtt

hey folks… im curious on how everyone configures their mqtt broker + zigbee2mqtt in home assistant so that they can connect their zigbee devices.

i see a lot of videos out there where they instruct to create a user within HA. Is that mandatory? why would one do that?

it seems to work fine if you dont do that and just take whatever it gives you. So why create a user and password ?

No.

Because it is easy. No need to configure a local user in the Mosquitto MQTT broker add-on. It can look up and use HA users.
