Greetings
I’m at Docker HA version 2024.12.1 and I’m running an external MariaDB for all database tasks. Yesterday I did a reboot of HA to apply some HACS updates and since then no statistics are updated. It’s annoying for graphs like temperature but critical for my Energy dashboard, for cost control.
When I look at the process list in MariaDB there is something called “Creating sort index” that has been running by Home Assistant since the last reboot. If I kill that process statistics in HA skips until present time and starts recording from there.
I don’t have any auto-purge configured and my database is roughly 26gb but I’ve seen way bigger databases in my life so that shouldn’t be a problem. So what’s going on?
InfluxDB and Grafana, which I use for additional presentation seems to update just fine.
Update: HA had been running fine today but it started doing the “Creating sort index” again.
