Curiosity: Why does traceroute from HA show different IP address than assigned?

My HA server is at 172.29.3.5
however, traceroute from HA command line shows this:
1 home-assistant.local.hass.io (172.30.32.1)

Why?
Are there docs explaining this?
Googling didn’t show much, probably because I don’t know how to describe this.

This is a Pi5:

Thats the IP address assigned to the container
