I was tempted by 3.0.0 but then saw the above bug report. We may be waiting a while for an update. I’ve held off the 3.0.0 for now partly due waiting for a 3.0.1 but also wanting to see what will happen to this component.

my router died last week,
I switched to Unifi Dream Machine Pro Max,
Therefore, I cannot support it but if there is someone with development skills I can explain how to adjust the code for v3.x
I managed to get it working by following this:
Now it works on my edge router with V3.0.0 fw. I already made some cool cards 
As some quick feedback, I’ll also confirm that by swapping two files as noted in the above post this now works on v3.0.1 which I installed on my ER4.
I had a brief few weeks with a UDM-PRO-4 before ripping it out. The Unifi app is a pain and kept hammering my DNS with it’s excessive monitoring. Too many things hidden in a “pretty” app that makes using the router hard (like why can’t we have a normal looking DHCP page?). And just the racket from the fans was enough to drive me mad.
Have put my EdgeRouter-4 back in. All is peace and calm. And I am sure faster. Only downside is the v3 firmware looks a bit too much like the UniFi thing. Which is worrying.
Sad news, sorry for your loss 
The EdgeRouter is a really good piece of equipment, very reliable, I will be sad when mine dies.
