Are you using the hacs integration or yaml? I removed the integration, restarted HA and added it back and there were more options on the integration screen this time…
Hi David,
Apparently this option is only available when setting up the integration. I did as you recommended and could add appdaemon.
Is it possible to use the original icon?
I tried in the first setup to change the icon and nothing showed up and now it is just an empty square
Is Hacs even worth the trouble? Had it working great before an update. Loved its great functionality. After update to 21.5 and Home Assistant. 105, getting multiple issues. Latest one is the endless loading (left it to load overnight with no luck). Reinstalled and uninstalled multiple times. Followed instructions by the letter. Tried both Yaml and integration. Generated new Api keys. Verified all files were installed (some were missing). Wasted almost two days and now about to give up. In this time, I could have reinstalled each component 10 times. Sorry for the rant and I respect / appreciate the devs’s efforts, but if this does not work, pull it off, fix it and let us know when it works again without being so temperamental that you end up with 1000 posts on this page…
But it does work, just fine.
Not on my setup (rpi4, hassos 3.10 with home assistant 105) and that of multiple others… If it was not for the dozens of Xiaomi devices that will need renaming, I would start with a fresh install!
Multiple others? I don’t see that statistic here. Clearly this is, as you say, a problem on your system, not with HACS itself.
Hell you have not even posted your error message(s), or anything from your logs.

Nothing noteworthy in the log.
Have a look around and you’ll see am far from being the only one with Hacs issues out there!
In my case, the issue was with the extra options on the yaml version:
hacs:
token: xxx
sidepanel_title: HACS
appdaemon: true
Took these options off and it finally loaded…
NB: Talked too quickly. After a restart suggested by HACS, HACS no more shows up in my side panel!
NB2: Added sidepanle_title again and it’s working again… after one more restart!
Glad the perseverance paid off!
That is not possible, only you have access to your server.
As for issues, unless they are posted on GitHub (using the template) I will, for the most part, don’t see it.
There are currently 73 automatic tests running on each commit to ensuring it will continue to work.

Sure, for the most part, that is not something that can be fixed.
The most popular issues are:
- Network issues (includes DNS)
- Did not copy all files during installation.
- Permission error on local FS.
Well, I’m mighty glad this works again. Feels like there could be a more streamlined setup/update process, but I understand what you’re doing here is difficult… Anyways, love your work and thanks for sharing this with the rest of us (less skilled monkeys)!
I’m using hacs and it’s the more awesome thing developed here !
I’m converting my old development to be compatible but seems not detected
Anyone know why (I already read the developper doc)
Thanks !
How do I remove a repository from HACS, not uninstall it, I want to keep it installed but I’m running a modified version and I’d like for HACS to stop offering me updates
You don’t.
Ok, thanks
Followed the instructions and added the folder, extracted amd copied hac folder into custom_components, but it doesnt show as an available integration after restart and cache clear. Where do I start to troubleshoot this?
What is inside .translations?
