You surely mean the export from the battery to the grid.
I first have to find out how this works best. As already mentioned, I have asked SAJ about support but have not received any support.

Hi Stanus74, thanks for this great integration. I use it with an EKD Ampere System and it works fine. I have the AIO3 thing and EKD smart box.
What I would like to see is the option to load the battery around lunch time while exporting energy in parrallel, as this would bring energy to the grid earlier in the morning. The EKD app dies nit offer this and so I ask you, if you could make this possible. Best regards, Ernst

I’m not sure if this is technically possible with the inverter – charging the battery and exporting to the grid at the same time. And even if it is, I don’t know whether the inverter supports it. Unfortunately, I don’t get any support from SAJ, so these kinds of questions are better directed to the manufacturer or your installer.

According to the project information, only a few inverter manufacturers have participated. Unfortunately, SAJ did not.
Just as I have already asked several times about the current Modbus protocol and support, SAJ does not seem to be interested in it

I don’t know whether a string can be physically switched off or by software. Please ask SAJ or the installer

I have emailed SAJ previously and got similar responses. I said to them if they supported this sort of thing they’d probably get more sales, but they didn’t seem too concerned. There was a company in Australia that does AI battery control (Evergen). They worked directly with SAJ and got all the info they needed. I used them for a while but the AI wasn’t particularly smart so cancelled it.
There is a option to enable/allow selling of electricity to the grid in the eSolar Air app, but I can’t find it in the Modbus docs. I know above request is a bit different but ability to enable/disable selling of energy to the grid would be great for me.
Yes, SAJ doesn’t seem to need to support Github developers.
But I have already found out a few things through testing.
I am currently testing a new version of my integration.
In the “Time-of-Use” mode, the next version will have the option of discharging the battery after a set time and power.
This is currently also possible with the SAJ app.

The AI function is great, but not working correct with lokale other brand solar system, or (flamco) hot water boiler solutions.

Switching of string is not possible with software.
Power limiting is possible.
Is you want to set te max power to 50% its possible.
Setting export power controled bij grid meter is the best way to go (i think)
