[Custom Component] SAJ H2 Inverter

Thanks! Already testing it and seems ok so far.

Big Update

I look forward to receiving feedback on whether it worked.

How did I miss this. Will update later and see how it goes. I have been busy optimising automations as we’ve had a wild ride of electricity pricing forecasts and costs, with some sub-optimal weather, and public holidays. Thanks again mate!

New Release

hi m I installed the latest version… as first thing, congratulations because it works great and I can see a lot of parameters.

I just noticed that every now and then it’s like it loses connection and all the sensors take the unknown status, until the next refresh.

why do you think it happens?

Hello I am new here.

I am trying to install from the HACS and I am running into this problem. It looks like it is not avaliable in the HACS. Is there a workaround?

Hello,

I managed to work it out, but now I am at the part where it is asking me to put in the IP address, Port and scan interval. I found the IP address for my SAJ inverter from my Router App but how can I know if the Port is correct. Currently it is just reading as unknown in the overview section.

modbus port is 502. did you enter this?
if it does not work test if the port is ‘open’

Are you using AIO3 or a TCP/Modbus converter?

Please provide more information

perform a port scan with namp or also Advanced Port Scanner

Hi,
First: Thanks for making a integration!

My Setup:

  • 15x 400wp solar panels
  • SAJ R6-5K-T2
  • eSolar AIO3

I installed the integration in HA and reading 264 entities so that looks good.

But i can’t find a way to switch off the inverter, is this possible in this integration?

I have found a way to do in in app, but only in the “eSolar SET” app.

  • Open the app
  • Direct ask for pincode (123456)
  • Then I login locally with bluetooth.
  • Select my inverter.
  • Go to “Power Adjustment” asking for pincode (201561)
  • Set a different % at “Power limit”, for example: 1.0% (default is 110.0)
  • The inverter shutdown for 60seconds and then apply this config.

I have an H2 inverter and only have the Modbus protocol

for this via the AIO3, many registers are blocked, including these system registers

I therefore cannot and will not implement this option

Good evening Stanus74, I would like to set my max SOC to 90% and I wonder, if it is possible via the integration? Thanks and regards, Ernst

Hi Ernst,

many SAJ users use the AIO3 adapter for communication.
However, this adapter only allows writing to a limited set of registers — unfortunately, the SOC limit is not one of them.

The inverter blocks writing to the SOC register, which is why this function is not implemented in the integration.

Best regards,
Stanus74

Hi Stanus74, thanks for your quick answer. And yes, I use the AIO3 adapter as well. I managed to limit the SOC to 90% via ‘eSolar SET’ app - at least tonight it kept the value after a few negative trials and I will see tomorrow, if it will work. So I thought, it could be written from outside as well, since your yaml for your power flow card shows the 90%. I won’t change this during summer, so I can live with being forced to use the app therefore. BR, Ernst

It works. Hope I will be able to set it back to 100℅ in winter. Cheers.
