Hi everyone,
I’ve been using several LaCrosse / Technoline temperature and humidity sensors with a Jeelink USB receiver in Home Assistant for quite some time.
The existing LaCrosse integration still works, but there were a few things that increasingly bothered me.
The main issue for me was that everything had to be configured in YAML. Whenever I wanted to add a sensor, change an ID or modify the configuration, I had to go back to configuration.yaml.
Another limitation was the way the sensors appeared in Home Assistant. Temperature, humidity and battery status were basically separate entities instead of belonging to an actual physical device. This made device management and especially assigning sensors to Areas/Rooms rather limited.
So I decided to create a new custom integration:
LaCrosse Jeelink
The goal is to provide a more modern Home Assistant experience for people who still use their LaCrosse / Technoline sensors with a Jeelink receiver.
The Jeelink itself is configured as a hub through the Home Assistant UI. Sensors can then be added and removed directly from the integration – no YAML configuration is required.
Each physical LaCrosse sensor becomes a proper Home Assistant device containing its entities, for example:
Gefriere
├── Temperature
├── Humidity
└── Low Battery
Waschküche
├── Temperature
├── Humidity
└── Low Battery
This means the devices can finally be assigned normally to Home Assistant Areas and managed like other devices.
Current features (v0.1.0)
- Fully configurable through the Home Assistant UI
- No YAML configuration required
- Jeelink USB receiver support
- Multiple LaCrosse / Technoline sensors
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Low battery status
- Proper Home Assistant device grouping
- Stable unique IDs
- Area/Room support
- Device availability timeout
- German and English translations
- Installation via HACS as a custom repository
I’m currently running it myself with multiple sensors and so far it is working nicely, but this is the first public release, so I would really appreciate feedback and additional testers.
Bug reports, ideas and contributions are very welcome!

GitHub:
It can currently be installed through HACS by adding the GitHub repository as a custom repository of type “Integration”.
What’s next?
One feature I’d really like to add next is automatic discovery of LaCrosse sensor IDs.
Ideally, you would put the batteries into a new sensor, the Jeelink would receive it and Home Assistant would automatically offer the newly discovered sensor for configuration.
If there are still other Jeelink / LaCrosse / Technoline users around, I’d be very interested to hear what hardware and sensors you’re using and whether the integration works for you. ![]()
