Luminous ConnectX - custom integration for Luminous solar inverters
I have a Luminous rooftop solar setup monitored through luminousconnectx.com, and there was no Home Assistant integration for it, so I wrote one.
What it does
Logs in with the same email/password you use on the ConnectX web dashboard, polls every 5 minutes, and exposes the plant as ~44 entities — solar power/generation, grid, load, battery, plus energy-dashboard counters for solar, grid import/export and battery in/out. Set up entirely through the UI.
Battery state of charge
The inverter has no link to the battery BMS, so the percentage it reports just sits near 100% most of the time. The integration estimates SoC from pack voltage instead — current-compensated, using a configurable LiFePO4 discharge curve. If you have a BMS exposed to HA (I read mine over Bluetooth), you can point the integration at its power sensor and it’ll use that for the grid power balance instead of the inverter’s own current reading, which on my unit reads zero below a few amps.
Grid power
The inverter reports grid current as an unsigned magnitude that doesn’t reconcile with its own solar/load/battery figures, so grid power is derived from the energy balance (solar − load − battery). It’s a few percent approximate, not a revenue meter, and the readme says so.
Install
HACS → custom repository → https://github.com/navjottomer/ha-syncx, category Integration. Developed and tested on 2026.x; it should work back to 2024.11 (that’s when the APIs it uses landed) but I haven’t tested below 2026.
Caveats
- Unofficial. There’s no public API; this speaks the same private endpoints the web app uses and could break if Luminous changes them.
- 5-minute data. That’s the datalogger’s upload rate to the cloud, not something the integration can speed up but we poll it every 2.5minute, this can be configured.
- Tested on my own Hybrid inverter. Other models return slightly different fields — happy to take issues/PRs from anyone with different hardware.
Feedback and testers welcome, especially anyone with a non-Hybrid ConnectX inverter.
