The integration works very well for me. I was able to migrate seamlessly from the Marstek Venus Energy Manager.
But I have a problem that my grid sensor supposedly delivers data too slowly. I have a Shelly 3EM Pro. This one reports HA every 5 seconds. It seems to me that Omnibattery just queries him too slowly. Is there a solution for this?
Well… I spent 2-4 months tweaking my P1 Manipulator code to optimise my solar consumption for my EV. I was mentally preparing to do something similar with my new aquired Marstek Venus, but using this integration is just mindblowing good, functional, having a nice dashboard, and does all right out of the box ! Many kudo’s to ffunes, I will surely test until the edge cases for my usecases, but until now, just AMAZING !
This recalc of predictive charging is run at 10pm.
Why does it only look at the home consumption till midnight? And not till next morning or moment that PV will start generate sunpower?
I had a question regarding tax and extra cost that come on top of the nord pole sensor of the upcoming hours, is there a way i can add those on top of the sensors price?
It’s now loading from the net because it’s thinks it’s a negative price but in reality it’s still 13 c€/kWh,.
I have been looking in all documentation to find if it matters to use a 15min(quarter hourly) or hourly energy price sensor for the 48h energy price provider sensor?
All I can find is that Omnibattery has an hourly refresh update on the price info;
Also in the attribute details I see ‘Selected_hours’ with the 15min prices, if using a 15min price feed(NordPool) in sensor.omnibattery_predictive_charging_active.
In case you have an Hourly Price plan and use the NordPool integration as your energy price provider(15min / quarter hour prices), will Omnibattery average these values per hour before using the prices to make descisions or will it use the 15min prices?
Additional I see a confirmation that calculations are based on 15min(quarter hour) pricing in the notifications screen.
For now I assume that Omnibattery will do it’s calculations based on 15min(quarter hour) pricing if the pricing sensor feeds 15min(quarter hour) pricing!
If you are still on an hourly pricing(with dynamic plan) use the ENTSOe Integration instead of Nordpool, if your provider is not in the list of Omnibattery. When you configure ENTSO you can choose for either 15min or 60min pricing(where 4 15min values are averaged.
Really happy with Omnibattery already! While the predictive charging looks at the day from 00:00h, it misses the required energy for the time between sunset and the next day cheapest hours.
See the image below. Right now the required energy is looked at from 00:00 till midnight. In that case the battery will run out of juice around 3h till 400h. Right before the expensive morning is coming. I know the next day prices won’t be available unitl 14 till 15h hours each day. But the pattern is often very similar, with peaks in de morning and beginning of the evening.
So it would be nice if the calculation would take into account the full requiremend prediction from 00:00h till sunrise for the current day to add to the required eneryg for the next day.
Yeah, you need the Nordpool HACS integration if you want to use Nordpool:
Also make sure you are on a 15min Dynamic Energy Plan from your Energy Provider.
If not, go for for the HACS ENTSO-e integration and choose the 60min instead of 15min during setup. Otherwise Omnibattery will do the calculations based on the 15min pricings.
You can use the same template for Vat and additional provider costs to get the All-IN price.

I added the one for NextEnergy 2026 including the Apex chart code to create a graph as in my screenshot of my 5 oktober post.
