It’s my understanding that HA Cync Integration does not support switches or plugs at this time. Is there a time frame on when switches will be included? Lowes had a bunch of Cync light switches marked down dirt cheap and I bought them all up. I’d like to use them in HA and link a few to motion sensors.
My suggestion is to see if there is a feature request open for this (I bet there is) and vote that up, or if not open one. home-assistant · Discussions · GitHub
My HA Cync integration is controlling my switches just fine. I started using Cync early in my home automation journey. My plan is to replace them eventually, but they work fine for me.
I’m currently using Cync Lights Version 1.0.1. Custom integration. Installed via HACS.
How are you getting your switches to show? Mine won’t even show up.
I don’t see that in HACS. Has it been taken down?
Is the custom repository I used in HACS
This isn’t local control. In some of my early reading I believe I determined that the switches are hard coded to make internet bound DNS requests for service. It was my understanding that local control would have to intercept those requests and spoof a local response. So your network config could potentially create issues. My switches are the motion dimmers and a basic toggle. You do need to setup the lights under the Cync app, and if I recall correctly, the integration queries your Cync internet profile for the equipment you have configured and auto populates them in HA. I see the devices and sensors in my overview dashboard and in my device listing.
Found it! Thank you.
Looks like everything is showing up properly.
