I just got started with HA last week, so bear with me if I get the terms wrong.
I have 4 Daikin AC . 3 of them appears as model 1357 and 1 as 135A under the Daikin integration.
While 2 of the 1357 has 13 entities, 1 of them only has 8. I’ve checked that the model of the AC is the same for all 3.
These are the things I’ve tried:
removing device and adding it back. (with and without restarting HA after removing)
factory resetting the wifi unit of the offending AC (with and without restarting HA)
using the reload function when the offending device is selected in the Daikin integration
I’ve noticed that HA always has the name and area of the device remembered so I’m not sure if there is a way to remove this device totally before adding it back.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
For my case, 2 of my other AC already have the full set of entities while a 3rd of the same model has less. Just need a way to expose the 5 that is somehow not there.
For entities to exist in HA, the device and any interface hardware needs to expose them.
My guess is one of your installs is not like the other, hence what you see as missing.
Without going in to the exact details of the aircon + interface devices + local/cloud, we’re going nowhere.
Daikin’s own network adaptors come in several types, cloud only and some with local access. They have even upgraded firmware to remove local access which is crappy (and another reason why I mention Faikin or a similar ESP32 3rd party access device).
Basically, it is complicated, and remote debugging without details isn’t going to work.
You need to see what log or trace details are available from the Daikin side and compare across units.
I get where you’re coming from but at the same time, for the same model of AC and WiFi adaptor that were purchased and installed together to have a difference in the number of entities is pretty low.
So to make sure I’ll like to see if there are any ways to completely remove the item so that it does not use previous settings or config when re-added into HA.
