Daikin Hybride energy flow

I have a Daikin Hybrid 7.4 kw heatpomp type EVLQ08V3/EHYHB08V3 . It is the biggest consumer off my energy consumption and also the one i can’t measure in Homeassistant. According to supplier this one has no online energy measurement capabilitys only on the thermostat.
Are there any possible solutions to measure the consumption off this heatpump, is power adapter a possibility?

Hello surfertje,

Maybe a couple of these or something like it?

I don’t know what your wattage/current requirements are, but there are many variations of this tech out there.
I use one of these on my Electric Dryer to tell when it’s on and off.

is that just a power plug energy meter there are lots of it but is that measuring the usage of electricity off the heat pomp

Single phase, 230volts, 50Hz, and about 32Amps with a CT clamp type power meter sensor connected to HomeAssistant should do the job. Protocol for connection doesn’t matter - just send the data…

Make sure you allow for other powered devices such as indoor units as well.
Consult your electrician for proper installation - you do not want a loose wire to overheat and start a fire, or cause compressor brown out. This uses lots of power and should be treated with respect. Hard wired is essential. Cheap devices that plug into a power point may get you a few days of use before they blow up. Don’t cut corners.
