Hi everyone,
After many months of work I finally decided to share my Home Assistant dashboard.
My family isn’t really interested in Home Assistant, so I thought I’d share it with people who might actually appreciate it. ![]()
The design is inspired by industrial SCADA/HMI systems: I wanted to display as much useful information as possible in a clean and logical way, so I can see the status of my home at a glance.
One of my goals was to keep the main dashboard uncluttered. Almost every button navigates to a dedicated page with more detailed information.
The floor plans and 3D images of my house are fully interactive. Every light shown on the images reflects its real-time state (on/off). This is achieved by overlaying transparent images, so what you see always matches the actual lighting inside and outside the house.
The only personal element is Bruno, my Bullmastiff. Bruno isn’t just an image—he is an interactive part of the dashboard. He comments on things happening around the house, such as the weather, mail, Formula 1, garbage collection, the car, plants and many other events. He has his own personality, moods and custom images, making the dashboard a little more fun to use every day.
The dashboard is still evolving, but I’m secretly quite proud of how it has turned out.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, ideas or suggestions for improvement.
Sorry for the Dutch text in the screenshots! ![]()
