Date/Time in Google Sheets

Newbie here, but a couple of weeks ago, I set up a Google Sheets integration with an iphone automation, scan a nfc tag = clock in, scan it again = clock out.
Eventually, all good, worked fine printing date and time like so in the relevant column
2026-09-02 17:20:32
Maybe coincidence, but after a couple of Home Assistant updates, it NOW prints the date and time like so:
2026-09-09 09:58:03.750701+01:00
I don’t think, I altered anything.

Not exactly a big problem, but any ideas for a simple fix, as I don’t want to mess up what is eventually working good :grinning_face:

You didn’t. It looks like the change is a side effect of an update that fixed an issue where the timestamp could be sent as UTC instead of the local timezone.

You can disable the “add created column” option in your google_sheets.append_sheet action, then add an entry named created to append the time in the old format:

action: google_sheets.append_sheet
data:
  add_created_column: false
  config_entry: 12345567889
  worksheet: My Sheet
  data:
    created: "{{ now().datetime }}"
    other_stuff: '{{ states("sensor.example") }}'

Thanks a lot m8,
