Debugging pairing issue in ZHA

I am currently unable to pair a new Zigbee device with ZHA

All integrations and core and supervisor are up-to-date and I have rebooted the host server (Windows)

When I try to add a device, the pairing process times out. I have put 3 different devices into pairing mode, so this probably isn’t a device problem.

This has worked in the past. Apart from updating integrations I have recently (i.e. since the last time I added a device) installed several new integrations including MQTT and Matter.

Any thoughts on how to debug/analyze what’s going on?

Perhaps a bit more information?

What Zigbee stick? Are you using it for Matter as well?

How are you going about adding the new device? Through the coordinator or with a nearby router?

What kind of device? Battery-powered devices may be sleeping.

I noticed, when adding a few devices sequentially, but within a short time, after adding the first one, and naming it as you want to, the next device didn’t appear to respond. What actually happened is, somehow, the system automatically added it, I think as soon as I powered it on, so it doesn’t ‘find’ it, when you try the second device pairing.

Have a look in your device list and see if it’s already there, with a name usually based on it’s device type.

Took me ages to figure ths is what was happening, when I tried added a number of similar devices…
