As per the title — strange issue where I seem to have a “ghost” bridge in the Home App on iOS, but not iPadOS or MacOS versions of the app. Some extra info:
When looking at the entries in HomeKit bridge though Home Assistant, it doesn’t show that old bridge (just two other ones I’ve created which are working fine).
On iOS Home App, bridge is there, and accessories are unresponsive. Can’t delete any of it in the Home App. Can’t rename or anything either.
Using “Controller for HomeKit” App, when attempting to delete the bridge (it shows up there too) it says “object not found”.
Home App on my wife’s iPhone doesn’t show the bridge either. Just seems to be my iPhone.
Anyone ever see anything like this before? Any suggestions?
Update for anyone else who has this issue: what finally worked was restarting all my home hubs (HomePod minis and Apple TVs) so that the “Connected” hub changed and the previous hub went to “Standby”. Then, I was able to remove the bridge.
I know this is a bit old, but I had a similar problem with the Philips Hue bridge. When I deleted it from the Hue app, it stayed in HomeKit and would not delete. The solution I found was to use the Eve app. I think you may need to have at least one Eve accessory in your home, but not sure. Open accessories and you’ll see all of your accessories, including your bridges. I was able to delete the bridge by opening its setting and tapping Remove.
