Desky Standing Desk (ESPHome) [Works with Desky, Uplift, Jiecang, Assmann & others]

Hi… it was the RJ12… it was my own fault not realising that by default, these desks are shipped with constant touch setup for safety. After RTFM process, I worked out that I had to change that. Once it was done, it works flawlessly…

I am hoping to get a little direction to get this working. I have a eureka ergonomics standing desk with a control box labeled erk-cb-2m-bca84a. My research says this is a rebranded Jiecang JCB35NS2. The control box has a power connection and 4 ports: Ex, H1, MB and MA. MA and MB are connections to the two motors. H1 is the connection to the control panel and is a RJ45. Ex is a RJ12.

I tried the RJ12 project and could not get it to work. The port has no 5v constant power on any pin, only powering up when the control panel is awake. Even with powering from a desktop power supply and just trying TX/RX pins I was not able to make it work.

I have shifted to the RJ45 pass-thru but my experience is different from yours all the way around. Photos of the control box, panel and electronics are below. Like the RJ12 I do not have any pins that have constant 5V. Some of them have 5V when the panel is awake. Two pins have 28v and move the desk when grounded.

I just need a direction to try and I will give it a shot. I am stuck at this point.

Can you share which option you went with?
Was it the RJ45 or RJ12 - and di you have to change the desk controller for this to work?
Thank you

Hmm… this one doesn’t feel like a Jiecang to me. Unless it’s a next generation.
The voltage behaviours and command wire hints are very different. I feel you may be in new territory.

You seem to be dealing with something more like this (at least for the power supply part).

Going to try a pass-through (or splitter) setup myself with Koble Gino corner desk, apparently the control box uses similar ports I think RJ12 (although had a cut out for an extra port that wasn’t populated) Here’s hoping it’ll work (will edit in the progress)

Hello,
I just wanted to mention that I just received a desktronic home pro and found that it doesn't have an rj11/12 port making it incompatible with the pre-built solution. I looked into it and found that it is a difference between the US and European desks which you can see in the two different build videos. If there are any ideas on how I can make it work, it would be appreciated. I've attacked photos of the board and the connections.
