Is there a way to detect an incoming call? I would like to automagically mute my TV and perhaps run other actions when a call is received. It would also be nice if the callerid were available to an action

The Tivo hackers did this a long time ago, so it’s definitely possible. But then again, that was with POTS two-wire land lines. Sensing an incoming cell call would be quite a bit different.
Yes, I was hoping the ios app could expose the cell call activity.
Apple doesn’t allow any app to touch incoming calls. If you use an app for call blocking, the app basically submits a list of numbers to block to the OS and the OS blocks it; the app never gets notified of it. This is so that no app can get your call history.
The android app has call state, but I’m fairly sure you can’t see the callerid.
Perhaps you can with a workaround but I haven’t tried it.
