I’ve just upgraded to HA 2025.6.1 and I am trying to add the Alexa integration. When I get the authentication screen I enter my Amazon username and password and then gererate a one time password using Amazon in Microsoft Authenticator. When I submit this I get Invalid authentication.
Any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong.

What is needed is that you have to setup an authentication app for use with your Amazon account; The app generates a changing OTP that changes periodically in time that is in sync with Amazon. In my case, I use Authy as the authentication app.
I am using Microsoft Authenticator app.
Did you try login using United States as a country, in my case Mexico was not able to log in but changing to the United States allow me to add my devices , after a successful login reboot home assistant
also make sure you Auth app is correct setup

Same problem here, google authenticator app is working fine (I log in other laptop) but I can log in in HA.
Hi, my Amazon account was also created in Mexico with the OTP set up through Google Authenticator App and it didn’t work to access into HA to the “Alexa Devices” integration.
I changed my Amazon account to the US, removed the Alexa Device Integration, reboot HA OS, reinstalled the integration…but still nothing, at least now I’m not getting the “unknown error” message and it let me create the integration but it’s not linked to my account as it shows the following error:
Failed setup, will retry: ‘GDK1M00711350Q0V’
I’ve now upgraded to HA 2025.6.2. I can now login to Alexa however I then get on the Hubs page - initilizing - No devices or entities - Failed setup, will retry: ‘devices’
I am having the same issue as Richard55uk.
US account. saw a thread that said to wait till new version and i have new version of HA. thsi tiem it too the OTP but it said in HUB that it failed will retry. I removed integration and tried again and now won;t take OTP at all.
yeah this integration work for a couple of days and just break , is been a painful experience all along , for me dont show anything on logs
I’ve updated now to HA 2025.7.0 and now when I login to Alexa and enter a OTP from Microsoft Authenticator I get an error. However I do get a text from Amazon with a OTP code and if I then enter that code I can login and see my Alexa devices.

J’avais le même problème. Le fait est que mon compte Amazon et amazon developper avaient 2 mots de passe différents. En harmonisant les mots de passe, j’ai réussi à m’authentifier dans l’intégration Alexa Devices. L’intégration doit demander le compte amazon developper et non pas amazon.com.
To be clear, you enter username (email), password, and Authenticator code. You get a failure, but immediately get a text code. Try again with username, password, and the text code and then it works?
I moved the text 2FA option to the Backup Method and used the Authenticator App as my Preferred Method. I have had zero install issues after that!
Great suggestion. I get signed in and then it’s a dud unfortunately.
