Hello,
I rename my device from tuya app, but after some days why in the home assistant the device still use old name?

Because you have to rename it in HA too ?

so if we do some name change in the tuya, we still need manually update in the home assistant also and can’t be automatically sync?

The name you see in Tuya, as well as in HomeAssistant is just an alias.

The device itself uses a key which looks something like: ab15d78426ce377abcd5438

I use LocaTuya integration, and the biggest hassle with it is to find that key as it is needed to configure it😉

so i can say the device name is not synced between Tuya and Home Assistant if there any changes, am i right?

Both Tuya and HoneAssistant use the device key internally, the name you give it is totally up to you (and unknown to the device)

If you insist they should use the same alias, yes, you’ll have to change them on both…

I use only Tuya local and ditched the Tuya App ages ago (don’t want to use any cloud services).
