I have a cloudwatcher(Lunatico astro) on my observatory from which I am trying to bring data into HA. The way the cloudwatcher normally operates, it connects, sends data and then disconnects itself, repeating this process every couple of minutes. I can see it’s publishing the data and I can “listen to” the data in the MQTT Mosquito settings but the device doesn’t show up in HA to add it. Is this because it disconnects itself before it can be detected?
Probably not. If the MQTT Explorer add-on is verifying the data is being correctly recorded by mosquitto, then the connection from cloudwatcher has served its purpose.
Any entries in the error log for the system or MQTT? Any hidden entities that need enabling? Are you running the latest version? Is the MQTT configured correctly from the sending end?
