Device_tracker (mac_address) always home - all devices

All my devices are always home, even when they are not, according to “History” .
As a result, the people that the devices are associated with are also always considered home.

I’ve associated several devices with users using the HA GUI in HA>Configuration>People>“Some User”>“Select the devices that belong to this pererson”. But all devices have always been “Home”, even those not assigned.
I am wondering how device detection works in order to fix detection.

I have an OPNSense firewallr running a DHCPv4 server.
All known devices get a static address assigned, unknown devices get a dynamic address and can’t access the internet.

I have “opnsense” configured on Home Assistant as per OPNSense - Home Assistant .

I have gotten the same problem suddenly.
This has been working earlier, wondering if its because I’ve enabled https…?

I think that it was because I enable ARP on my addresses, which is good for safety but HA seems to check the presence in the ARP table. So as all addresses are always there, they’re always present.

Now what I’m wondering is where can the time until a device goes offline be adjusted, if its possible at all.
It seemed to take around 15 minutes for me now.
