Device_tracker still shows at home while I'm away

The Goal: Open garage door upon entering Home zone.

Issue: device_tracker.kwcuts_iphone never changes from ‘home’ when I’m away from home.

Locative correctly tracked me.
The HA companion app precisely tracked my locations.
Able to control Home Assistant while I was away through Tailscale.
Yet device_tracker still showed at home.

I don’t know how to proceed. Please HELP. Thank you in advance.

I switched phones a while ago and found that I did not switch which phone’s presence was being used to figure out whether or not I was home. Don’t know if that helps.

Check that your home zone size is set correctly, and that you actually exited the home zone.

Consider using the HALP! integration, which makes your location tracking even faster and slighlty more accurate for HA.
