I have a Deye inverter with a Solarman V5 logger and I wanted a simple local monitoring solution for Linux without depending on the manufacturer’s cloud interface.
So I built my own: DEYE Local Monitor for Fedora Linux.
It reads data directly from the local Solarman V5 logger and displays:
• PV production
• household consumption
• battery SOC and power
• grid import/export
• inverter status
• weather
• historical statistics
• live energy flow
One thing I particularly wanted was a configurable polling interval. It can be set from 2 to 30 seconds, depending on the quality of the local network.
The application also continues working locally without requiring cloud access for live monitoring.
I have just finished the first complete licensing/payment system as well, but the application itself can be downloaded as a 10-minute demo.
