Hello everyone,
After giving up on managing a Thread network using a flashed Sonoff USB stick and a native OTBR agent under Debian (bookworm) on a Raspberry Pi 5, I opted to purchase a Dirigera hub to improve the stability of my IKEA Matter/Thread connected devices (Timmerflotte, Klippbok, and Miggbett). Home Assistant and Python Matter Server are running in Docker containers. For this change, all the connected devices were hard-reset and re-paired using the IKEA Smart Home mobile app. All the devices are visible in the mobile app, but sometimes they become inaccessible, then accessible again. In short, stability is no better with the IKEA Dirigera hub. To try and keep them working, I pinged each node using a Python script (https://github.com/joshuakimrub/matter-node-pinger/blob/2c6e51d7020c03d25f61c5d6c32ead24f1c7d91f/node_pinger.py ). There are never any errors, yet some objects disappear for a while and then reappear. How can we make this environment more reliable?
