Hi. I’m trying to connect a cozylife wifi switch to home assistant. I’ve had the switch connected using Apple Home app and that works but I’d like to have access to the switch from Home Assistant. Following the instructions for the HomeKit Integration, I have connected the device in the Home App and then removed it. In terms of the instructions I’m trying the “add homekit device by ethernet or wifi” and I don’t get the dialogue box in step 2.
It appears in Home Assistant settings > Devices and Services as a “Discovered integration”, but I can’t set it up either by the “Add” button or by trying to add it as a new HomeKit Device Integration. Both seem to go in to an infinite loop of either “Please wait, starting configuration wizard for the integration”, or Device Selection respectively. Eventually they give an generic error.
I have tried resetting the device before adding it in the Home App. I’ve also rebooted the modem, tried giving the wifi switch a static IP address, rebooted the HomePod Mini that I’m using as the Hub. I rebooted Home Assistant as well, but doing that after the integration has appeared causes it to disappear.
I’ve tried searching for solutions, but a bunch of them are not completely the same problem, or just have “it connected” without any information that helps.
I’m running HAOS in a proxmox VM (proxmox helper script install): Core version 2025.10.4; OS 16.2; Frontend 20251001.4.
I’ve had a look at the logs, but I couldn’t work out how to cut and paste from the HA console. It indicated a ConnectionRefusedError trying to connect back to the homePod’s local IP address. Sorry for not being more helpful.
Any ideas what I should try next?
