I know it’s in some ways yesterdays news, but I noticed that Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare is still publishing real time covid stats, so I wanted to make an integration for that. I also created a custom Lovelace card to provide a nice interactive UI for the stats.

This integration and the card have been largely useless for a while now. Finland has switched from healthcare districts to wellbeing services counties. So I finally updated these. Both now work with the new system and what’s better it’s not just for covid cases anymore. THL publishes statistics for a number of diseases and all are now supported. Integration and card have been renamed accordingly (thl_covid → thl and thl-covid-card → thl-card). In addition to this, there’s a number of other improvements and bug fixes. Most notably a visual configuration editor and a trend chart.
