I’m new to the community as I’ve just recently decided to use Home Assistant for my home automation. I’m trying to figure out a DIY security system to use. I think I’m down between Simplisafe and Abode. I’m looking for a system that I can set up without cameras and then use another camera option such as Nest cameras. I would like a system that I can pay for monthly monitoring and lastly use a cellular calling system in case the power or internet connection has been cut. Obviously I also want it to work with Home Assistant. It appears as though Abode is used more often with Home Assistant than Simplisafe when I look at the Home Assistant analytics.
Anyone have any ideas on good solutions I should look into other than Abode or Simplisafe? Also if you have a preference on one or the other above feel free to let me know I’m open for suggestions. Thanks
