Do I need an HomeKit/IKEA Hub to run HA?

Hello,

I’m new to the HA-world. Actually I’m thinking of installing a HA instead of all the different other hub which already exist. But before investing into HA, I would like to ask a basic question. Is it possible to install HomeKit or ZigBee or eve gear in HA, so I can get rid of all the different existing hubs? Or do I need to run them anyway?

Thanks in advance & Cheers

Here you go Integrations - Home Assistant.

If you can find your gear there, then it’s possible to run everything on HA.

Spoiler alert - yes, you can but will still need separate hubs/coordinators for ZigBee & Matter

On my HA server, I have USB sticks for zwave, zigbee, and matter. They all function well together. Currently there are 22 matter, 50 zigbee, and about 90 zwave devices.
Additionally HA discovers other types of devices like Alexa and adds them to the configuration.
