Even though it feels like an omission of HA, I am sure it is my failure to understand the new zone functions. Well, new to me.
I am a long time user of HA and all automation is build up out of referencing single entities. I read about the easier zone-related functions, and today I decided to try one of them: the presence detection.
I set up an automation that triggers EACH time any pir on the upstairs hallway (overloop) detects a presence. A second automation should trigger if all pir’s do not detect a presence anymore.
As can be deducted the image, I choose the ALL option for this second automation, but it already triggers if only one switched back to no presence but the other STILL has movement detected. When the second pir did not detect any movement anymore, it was not triggered anymore.
I would not think a grouped presence detection would ommit a function to ensure the whole group has no detection. So I must not understand the workings of this new way of automating.
Can somebody give me a 101 on how to set a trigger if the last pir also is detecting no movement
