I plugged in a Philips Hue lights today (Zigbee model) and saw that this weird Philips Hue BLE integration popped up. I almost clicked it.
I know lots of Matter devices have Bluetooth today to allow them to join a network without needing a special app, but from what I found, this is something else.
BLE or Zigbee?
From what I understand, you can use Bluetooth or Zigbee for these Hue lights. Do people use one or the other or both? Are there advantages either way?
I know there are lots of restrictions with Bluetooth, but Home Assistant allows meshing. How does that work here?
