This only affects people who run HA dockerized.
I was running an old version of docker (20.10.24 - from April 2023).
And was getting an error when trying to pull the current “stable” HA docker image:
failed to register layer: Error processing tar file(exit status 1):
archive/tar: invalid tar header
Upgrading docker to the current version: 29.8.1
Resolved the issue.
I am not sure which version of HA introduced the issue, with older versions of docker - I think I was running a HA version from early 2026 previously.
Anyway just a quick note, so that if anyone else hits this issue they know to upgrade docker in order to resolve it.
