Does IKEA DIRIGERA support third-party Matter Door Locks (0x0101)?

Does IKEA DIRIGERA support third-party Matter Door Locks (0x0101)?

I am trying to find out whether IKEA DIRIGERA currently supports third-party Matter-over-Thread door locks.

I have a SecuYou Matter Smart Lock. DIRIGERA discovers it immediately and Matter commissioning progresses almost to completion, but fails at the final stage when returning to IKEA Home smart. The lock is never added.

Current setup:

DIRIGERA firmware 2.975.3

Matter Controller 26.4.0

Matter 1.4.2

IKEA Home smart Android 1.71.0

I have already factory-reset both the lock and DIRIGERA’s Thread/Matter network, with exactly the same result.

I then looked at the CSA certification/PICS package for DIRIGERA Matter Controller 26.4.0 (ctrl_pics_012.zip).

I can find client support/test material for several Matter clusters, but I cannot find corresponding client PICS/test material for Door Lock Cluster 0x0101.

So my main question is:

Does anyone know whether DIRIGERA 26.4.0 / IKEA Home smart actually supports Matter Door Lock (0x0101) devices as a controller?

And, for anyone familiar with Matter PICS:

Is the absence of Door Lock client material from the DIRIGERA PICS package meaningful, or am I interpreting the certification files incorrectly?

I would also be very interested to hear from anyone who has successfully added any third-party Matter door lock directly to DIRIGERA and controlled it from IKEA Home smart.

I have the DIRIGERA CSA certification details, PICS files and considerably more commissioning/troubleshooting information available if useful.

Update:

I have now tested the SecuYou lock with an Aqara M200.

  • SecuYou → Aqara Home: works
  • SecuYou → Google Home via Matter Multi-Admin: works
  • SecuYou → DIRIGERA via the same Multi-Admin method: fails

Google Home correctly recognizes and controls the lock. Aqara and DIRIGERA are also using the same Thread network.

After the failed DIRIGERA attempt, SecuYou still shows only Aqara Home and Google Home as connected Matter ecosystems.

This seems to narrow the issue down considerably:

Does DIRIGERA currently support third-party Matter Door Locks (0x0101)?

Update – 30 September:

A useful development since my original post:

I contacted the Connectivity Standards Alliance directly about this interoperability issue.

The CSA Interop Lab Manager has confirmed that they are willing to try to reproduce the problem if SecuYou provides them with a lock.

Importantly, CSA has also confirmed that they already have an IKEA DIRIGERA in their Interop Lab.

So they should be able to test the actual combination:

SecuYou Matter-over-Thread Smart Lock → IKEA DIRIGERA → IKEA Home smart

SecuYou has indicated that they intend to contact CSA regarding interoperability testing, and CSA has provided them with both the standard Interop Lab intake route and a direct route for debugging this specific issue.

I will update this thread again if the lab test goes ahead and produces any useful findings.

In the meantime, I am still very interested in the original PICS question: whether the apparent absence of Door Lock (0x0101) client material from DIRIGERA’s certification package is significant.
