hi does such a UK smart plug exist with all of the following features
I personally use Athom flashed ESPHome. Which works well with HA
I looked at that device but can’t find it for sale
It’s discontinued. The replacement is called GRILLPLATS and uses Matter over Thread. I haven’t checked that particular device, but their new MoT bulbs support Zigbee too.
I have these all over; they work great, integrated perfectly with ZHA (ZBT-2), and serve as repeaters, obviously. They show my power consumption, no problems whatsoever with LEDs, in fact, in the screenshot I attached, the plug is powering a couple of LEDs. If you’d like, I’ll turn them off, and show you a second screenshot showing zero power draw.
Anyway, best of luck, and have fun!
The devices circled in red are a couple of the 8 (I think) of these plugs I have. They are good Zigbee net devices. Notice the complex connections they make.
when I say LED I meant the LED POWER light on the physical device to indicate when the plug it turned on
Ahhh I assume dyou meant the low voltage trickle that a lot of these plugs have that will result in cheaper LED bulbs staying lit or flickering when turned off. There is a tiny, tiny, tiny led on the top right of this device, I will look over the settings to see if it can be turned off, but a drop of correction fluid VAPOR would cover it completely it is so small.
Paul I apologize, I just realized you are in the UK too. I don’t know that this plug is available there. Perhaps I have wasted your time after all.
I fully understand why you thought what you did and appreciate the suggestion and you haven’t wasted any of my time
These plugs are now available in store, and via their website. Just picked up 3 just now for £6 each. Z2M can only turn them on/off, but there is an LED brighness option available so you can turn it off, but I cannot seem to get that to work currently - setting to 0% turns the socket off.
You forgot the brand / model name.
Sorry, this is for the new Grillplats from Ikea Here
There is no real support for the power settings at the moment, I tried to add a manual converter file to Z2M and that gives me on/off in HA, but I do not see power. Need to see if someone finds the correct settings, and whether power is shared when in Zigbee mode
The latest Herdsman release here only provides on/off options.
