Domoticz / Home Assistant / Solar Energy Integration

Greetings,

Unfortunately there is no integration for my solar inverter directly into Home Assistant. However Domoticz has an integration for my SolarMax inverter via the inverter Ethernet port.

So my question… Has anyone setup an integration between a solar inverter, Domoticz, and Home Assistant to display the energy data in the HA Energy dashboard?

I have also been thinking about using a Shelley EM in the fuse box, with CT clamps taped into the power feeds from the solar and street. But the data directly from the SolarMax inverter is so rich with data, it would be a shame not to use it.

Honestly I’d prefer not to do it this way, but I am not skilled enough to develop my own integration, so this appears to be the path of least resistance… or is it.

Any thoughts, ideas greatly appreciated.

Any ideas, anyone?

Have you been successful? I have two solarmax inverter which I would like to add to HA too.

Hi There @tomz ,

Yes… it’s a reasonably straight forward setup. Domoticz will interface with a Solarmax inverter, and then you share the data with HA via MQTT. The data coming into HA via MQTT can then be fed into the HA energy panel.

If you’d like specifics please let me know and I will provide as much info as possible.

Thanks, Mark
