Does anyone know of a door sensor (WiFi preferred, but Zwave is ok) that can be used INSIDE a fridge? We are building a new house and will have a wine fridge in our bar that does not have a lock. I’d like a sensor on the door so I’m alerted if my daughter gets into it when she gets old enough to try that sort of thing.

I would image you could use a vibration sensor much like I’ve seen others on the forum use on washers and dryers to detect activity.
If it has a glass door you should have no problem with any switch but you should be able to mount it on the bottom to avoid the Faraday cage issues.
If you can mount it outside the fridge, the batteries will last longer
Thanks for the replies. I’ll try the switch on the bottom.
