When downloadig a backup HA (app on MacOS) displays an interstichel dialog with the progress, then upon completion a big green checkbox with “Download finished”, but no way to clear the dialog. I have to Force Kill the app and restart.
(As a side note, you can see in the screenshot the naming conventions used doesn’t include the current date and time, which is inconvenient when keeping a backup of various backup files. It’s great to have the HA version in the filename, but it’d be nice to also have the date and time that the backup was created…)

There’s a reported issue with some dialogs being impossible to close. Not sure if this was resolved in 2026.3, but it definitely affects 2026.2.
The good news is that there’s a workaround until it’s fixed. In Windows, I had to enable animations in windows settings & the issue was resolved.
Not sure if there’s an equivalent setting on MacOS, but I would start there.
If you still can’t get it to work I suggest you follow the issue on HA Frontend GitHub, in case someone posted a MacOS specific workaround.
