thanks for the link. but when i go to developer tools Service to see what services are available to wiser, I see we have āset device modeā. BUT, it does not work, it does not see any devices ?
@msp1974 is there a know issue?
thanks.
Andy.
Please see wiki for this service. Do you have hot water or smart plugs?
no, I was trying to control my heating from AUTO to OFF and vice versa for all devices, as talked about above.
is there no service to control this ?, seems it would be handy to be able to control the heating as a whole with AUTO, MANUAL, OFF
and if manual is used, then you should be able to set a room temp for ALL rooms.
aka a master climate control entity, is this posible for you to do ?, but when AUTO
is used, it uses a default schedule chosen for that room (not a single schedule for all rooms).
To change heating mode itās under the climate device for each room. There is an option to change HVAC mode for each climate entity.
yeah, I know, but I was saying it would be nice to be able to control the whole house at once.
Iāve tried to find an answer to this, but Iām getting some strange behaviour with battery levels. Roughly once a day the battery levels of 7 iTRVs and a single room stat all drop to 0%. This causes my Node-RED flow to send me a mobile notification telling me theyāve all gone to 0%. Within the next hour all the battery levels come back in again, but not all at once. The wiser app shows the battery levels as being normal when HA is showing them as zero.
I enabled debug logging and that didnāt show anything unusual (from what I could see). Iāve checked the other HA logs and canāt see anything in there. I was getting some wiser hub timeouts, but Iāve now moved the hub and replaced my 2.4GHz wifi and those issues have gone. The battery issue persists though.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?
UPDATE: I managed to catch this as it happened. All the wiser components in my dashboard lose their values. The temperature, signal, etc come back in quickly (within a few seconds) but the battery status a lot longer. I managed to grab a quick screenshot:
I currently do this a toggle helper. You just create a toggle helper then create an automation to turn every climate entity to off when the toggle is on.
thought about doing that, but it would require several automations to control the toggle to detect what state of heating is, I.E, if you manually toggle a room on or off that toggle would become out of sync, and not show current state.
IMO this is not the way, it should be controlled via the integration, i still say it would be be good to have a master climate control.
Away mode changes the setpoint for the whole house. You can set which smart plugs are affected as well as hot water.
yeah, but that is not OFF
iām also seeing strange results with battery levels, HA is reporting 10% for my Lounge Room Stat, but the Wiser app, says it fine, plus i tried changing batteries, but it made no difference to HA.
Hi - another person here trying to tackle the question of changing schedules by season. Iāve been experimenting with get_schedule and set_schedule and have fallen at an unexpected hurdle - I donāt seem to be able to āgetā the schedules for all of my rooms. I currently have 11, soon to be 12, and get_schedule only works for the first nine.
Hereās an example script:
alias: GetScheduleTest3
sequence:
- service: wiser.get_schedule
data:
entity_id: climate.wiser_diningroom
filename: /config/schedules/somename.yaml
mode: single
This works fine for any of the first nine (alphabetically) rooms that I have, but for the last two the script appears to run but actually does nothing. No error in the log.
Has anyone else seen this and come up with a cunning workaround?
@andyblac i would download a diagnostics file and see what that is saying. This is calculated from the voltage reported by the hub/trv.
Also very wierd how it has dropped in steps so quickly.
@Hillman10 that is wierd. Are you saying when you try to download them all or even when trying individually? This maybe a bug but i only have 9 rooms. Can you provide a diagnostics file amd i will try and test this in our mock server.
@georox123 this looks like your hub is resetting/loosing sight of all your zigbee devices. Have you tried repowering your hub? If your hub drops off wifi, the integration will not update the sensor values, so the hub must be reporting this info (ie missing this data in the api feed).
If you can catch it again and download a diagnostics file, send it to me along with a debug log and i will see if i can see anything integration wise.
@msp1974 seems this morning the battery level is now 100% so it has detected the battery change.
it prob wont help now but i have DMād you the diag file.
Hello
Iām new here and to Home Assistant.
I have read through most of the messages in this thread but not all, so forgive me if I have missed the info Iām looking for.
Iām trying to install the Drayton Wiser Integration (mostly to control roller shutters).
I see that the recommended method is through HACS.
So I went to HACS in HA, and selected āintegrationā.
But I cannot find anything such as Drayton Wiser Integration
Am I missing something here?
Also could you confirm this integration should work with a 2nd generation wiser hub (since this post started a ong time ago), not sure the hub version atters
Thanks
@cboengrand Welcome Oliver. Yes i think it is compatible if you are in France or 1 or 2 other countries in Europe. Can you confirm? The real test is whether you can get the secret key via the method in the instructions. If this works, then very likely the integration will work. If not, then it wont.
Not sure why you cannot find in HACs. Have you tried just searching for wiser?
EDIT: unless you have an old version of HA. Need a min of 2023.2
Hello Mark
Thanks a lot for your answer.
I am indeed in France, so I guess it should work, good news. I currently have 1st gen version of the wiser hub (I did not know there was s2 generations) and will send it back to order 2nd generation.
Regarding the install through HACS itās probably because I am not familiar with the HACS concept.
I tried again the search feature, and realised there is an error message (no result found) but also a button at the low right handside saying that I can explore and download other ādĆ©pĆ“tsā which should be repository.
By click on this the Wiser app shows up, but was missing for the initial list.
So it solves my problem.
I will get the 2nd gen wiser hub and test
Thanks
Olivier
