Dreaming of an ideal sensor

I want every room in my house to have a hardwired:

Temperature Sensor
Humidity Sensor
Presence Sensor
Lux Sensor
Voice Input
Voice Output
Bluetooth Proxy
Others?

I think it would be best if it was PoE. I think in many rooms this could be one device that replaces or adds to a switch. In some rooms, it would need to be ceiling mounted. In some rooms it would need to be corner mounted. In some rooms multiple would need to be used.

The software (HA) should help with setup. At a minimum it should know where in the room it is mounted and how big the room is. It could also know adjoining rooms so it can see handoffs.

While I am willing to rip out wallboard to install such a thing. This would mostly be useful in New construction.

The closest I have seen is the Everything Presence One.

I will keep dreaming while others are delivering useful products. :grinning:

Esp-s3-box allow for this

You can get an esp32 and add sensors.

Voice stuff and BT Proxy will probably not fit on the same device. Not enough memory and CPU for that.

Yes. It feels like we need an ESP64. I have no idea if an ESP32 is 32 but or something else. :grinning:

You could try the esp8266 or esp8285…
