I have this configured for monthly but it reset early this morning and I have been running this for two days.

You shouldn’t need a “work-around”. Share the solution you are using, and your utility meter config. Very likely we will have better advice for you.
What I mean is that it is working
And what I mean is that very likely what Gemini has provided you with is not the best way to do it.
