DSMR No momentary gas usage just total usage

Hi,

I’ve connected my Kaifa MA105 meter to HA (HAOS) using this cable

I’ve added the DSMR smart meter integration.

That resulted in 2 devices:

  • electricity meter
  • gas meter
    And 17 entities, 16 electricity related an 1 gas related.

The electricity related entities I’m interested in are working

  • Electricity Meter Energieverbruik
    This indicates my momentary power usage despite that the name says “Energy usage”

  • Electricity Meter Energieverbruik (tarief 1)
    Shows the total energy consumption for tariff 1

  • Electricity Meter Energieverbruik (tarief 2)
    Does the same for tariff 2

I can see the voltage of phase 1 if I enable the entity, I’d don’t produce energy so they return ‘unknown’ atm.

I only have 1 gas related entity though:

  • Gas Meter Gasverbruik
    This shows the total amount gas used.

I’m missing the momentary gas usage.

Should I have more gas related entities and if so, what could be the cause that I’m only seeing this single gas entity?

I’ve read several related topics but I couldn’t find the answer to my question :point_up_2:

Any help or just hints will be greatly appreciated!

The gas meter sends a telegram (message) every 10 minutes, so there is no way of current usage.

Just fyi
I would like to see my gas usage during the day in the form of a bar graph and now I know I’d have calculate that or better yet, look for solutions that already have been made.
