DSMR production and consumption simultaneously

I have DSMR set up with a P1 to usb cable to my raspberry pi running home assistant. I can read out values of the P1 meter, so that works.

What I find strange is that since a day or two, the value for both energy consumption (in kW) and energy production (in kW) can be non-zero simultaneously…

Is this normal behaviour?

EDIT:
When I look on the meter itself (the display), it seems that the values are not being subtracted, while they were before (see the screenshot from three days ago).

Since putting up this post, I noticed that the “problem” lies in the different phases of the smart meter.

The transformer for my solar panels is only 1 phase, and the consumption shown in the first picture is from the other 2 phases.
I’ve read online that my smart meter combines these phases, so in theory I can subtract these values myself.

I will look into template entities to subtract those values myself :slight_smile:
