Hi,
I’ve set up a remote access to my home assistant (supervised on Raspberry Pi) through port forwarding, duckdns, dnsmasq, let’s Encrypt certificate and manual dns settings on my iPhone.
This worked perfectly for a few months, but since a few days the internal duckDNS link stopped working. When I’m on my home network and it tries to use the Internal URL it won’t load. The status of WebSocket stays at ‘Connecting’ as well.
I can still access my home assistant server by using the duckdns link in the browser, it is just the app that no longer works.
I did manage to get it working again by just using the ip address as internal URL and trusting the certificate. But as soon as I use the duckdns url it won’t work.
What is even weirder is that on my iPad it still works, with the exactly same settings.
I checked the DNS settings of both devices (which are the same), I deleted and reinstalled the app, added the server again, turning local push on and off but with no effect.
I do have a working setup right now (with the IP address), but I still don’t understand why the duckdns internal URL stopped working and I’m out of ideas where to look. Someone who has an idea?
