Hello, I have HAOS running with some zigbee devices and the mosquito and zigbee2mqtt add-ons. I use Enable Join in z2m and it adds a new device to both the mqtt and zigbee integrations.
The problem is that it automatically creates duplicate devices/entities in the default dashboard, one linked to zigbee and the same one linked to mqtt.
What have I done wrong? Thanks.
Not sure what you mean by that. There is no such thing as a “zigbee integration”.
If you use Z2M, everything goes through MQTT. If you use the builtin Zigbee Home Automation (ZHA), then you get a ZHA integration.
You can only have one or the other with a single zigbee coordinator. If you have both, there comes your issue.
Yes, I have both. Using Z2M Allow Join it installs new devices into both. Any idea why or do I need to go to a different forum? Thanks.
It doesn’t make sense (nor is it supported) to install ZHA if you use Z2M, and vice-versa. I am even surprised it works at all as one should have a lock on your coordinator.
Remove one from your setup.
