Hi,

When I started with home automation in 2020, I’d never soldered my life and it was quiet a learning curve. For many years, I could not make Dupont connectors though not for lack of trying so I ordered few types of jumper cables in bulk on AliExpress and would cut them as needed.

I recently stumbled upon this amazing video that explains how to make Dupont connectors and I got my first one right!!

Hope this video helps anyone who has struggled (like me) to make good Dupont connectors.

Having spent many years producing prototype electronics, I can say that is a good video and does not do anything wrong. Although, buying a far more expensive crimp tool will remove the need for the second crimp but for DIY use that would be over the top, and not really necessary.
