Thats a cache problem and nothing to do with DD itself, mentioned also several times.
Start to try out this dashboard, but can’t figure our how to add stuff to main top space.

Is there a way to have 1 single icon in favorites which can be pushed with an entity popup as a result. In short: I would like to have a waste bin icon in my favorites and when pushed a card with the waste collection entities pops up.
And this button push in favorites with pop-up card can be used for any other ‘easy to acces information’

Hello! I’ve been using the dashboard for over a year now, I love it, and thank you for developing it, it’s saved me a lot of time, especially on tablets and mobiles!
I have a problem that’s a bit annoying, and I haven’t figured out how to solve it, I’d like to ask for help with this! If there are multiple temperature entities in a room, e.g. living room, how can I specify which entity’s value should be displayed at the bottom of the card?
i’m trying to install DD from HACS, but i cant seem to find it. Have HACS 2.0 running, and the install instructions on the DD site don’t really match i think.
Any suggestions?

Regarding Dwains Dashboard, I’ve been considering creating a new card that automatically builds a dashboard, no more complex blueprints, as maintaining them takes too much time. Plus, there’s little hope that Home Assistant will add this as a core feature anytime soon. Would there be interest in such a card? It would still give you the Dwains Dashboard look, but simply generate a YAML dashboard based on areas. Let me know your thoughts?

As I’m not a good programmer of dashboard’s it’s a pitty to read that support will stop.
I do use Dwainsdashboard since the beginning I’m using HA as domotics system and I do like it very much.
I’m also a little bit stressed now realizing I do need to create something look a like DD myself.
It is also a pitty understanding HA is not willing to adopt this beautifull dashboard.
Are there people around here who can take the maintenance of this Dashboard over? That would be the nicest solution.
Besise that it would be very nice as alternative the card you mentioned to make my life easier to create a new dashboard if necassery in the near future.
At last I do like to mention that I will thank you very much for all the effort you took to maintain and create this dashboard until now.

I, too, would be very interested in that. I love the look of your dashboard. I’ve not been able to properly emulate it myself.
Absolutely loved Dwains Dashboard… The only dashboard I installed on day 1 of my HA install over 3 years ago and I never looked back! Unfortunately, with the “custom element” issue between DD and HA and the announcement of support ending, it’s a sad day for mine (and many others’) HA setup.
Fortunately, when a door closes another window opens and this other automatic dashboard just launched!
It took me a couple days to get everything figured out and configured but now I’ve got a dashboard as good or close to better than DD! It’s still only a couple months old and the developer is active on Github and other forums and working on bugs and feature requests. I’m definitely willing to pay a couple bucks a month for such an automatic dashboard if it means I don’t have to spend days and days developing a dashboard that is only half as cool as DD or SMARTi

Or you can try another one which is free to use and has a lot of options. There is a separate area card and a status card you can modify as you like.

I’ve been missing my own Dwains Dashboard for months with a lot of issues also myself, so I decided to build a fresh 4.0 version from scratch, based on the latest public 3.0 release. This is an alpha preview, so it’s deliberately super‑simple:
- Left: list of Areas
- Right: entities for the selected Area
- No more shareable Dwains blueprints or device pages
- Just your classic homepage, re‑skinned and non‑editable
