DynDNS setup

For years I use dyndns. Now my router is dying, so I have to purchase something new. I decided to purchase Google WiFi device. Unfortunately, it does not support dynamic dns services.

After some research, I found instructions how to configure duckdns with HA, but I am looking for instructions how to configure dyndns.com, not duckdns.

Anyone can help me with this?

Install their update client and ensure your ports are forwarded appropriately on your router.

Thank you for your reply. After I asked this question, I found the following article: https://damorrison.wordpress.com/2013/09/04/dyndns-for-your-raspberry-pi/

Do you think I can install this client on RPi that runs HA?

Probably not, but maybe. Most raspberries run raspbian os. Hass.io runs ResinOS. If ddclent is available on Resin’s apk package manager, it may be doable.

My HA is running on Raspbian. I used All-In-One installation.

Then, yes it should work. In fact, I think I may have used that at some point a year or so ago.

Great, thank you.
